Volunteers of the Week

Food on Foot represents to me a true labor of love! The people I have met at each feeding have just been fantastic! I have left each feeding in a better mood than I arrived and I am always filled with a sense of gratitude for the things that I so often can take for granted. I think the Work for Food program is just terrific as it fosters self-esteem and accountability while providing such a valuable service within the community. I really admire the "solution" that was created in starting that particular facet of Food on Food.

I have to say my favorite moment was when I participated in handing out the food coupons to the workers at the end of the month. The smiles on their faces as they were receiving applause and recognition was just priceless! I feel fortunate to be involved with such a terrific organization!
